Tasting note
Extremely complex on the nose, with aromas of black cherries, blackberries, violets, graphite, mocha, truffles, licorice and fine spices. Dense, structured and silky on the palate, with precise fruit, refined acidity, ripe, fine-grained tannin and a complex, very long finish. The 2018 is a large but balanced Napa red wine that masterfully mediates between power and finesse.
Culinary recommendation
A perfect partner with aged beef, lamb crown, venison, braised oxtail, fine truffle dish, or as a soloist in a quiet moment. He deserves dishes of equal depth and refinement.
Vinification
Manual harvest, strict selection, fermentation in small stainless steel tanks, aging for approx. 20 months in 100% new French barriques. Maximum precision in the cellar — each plot is vinified and assembled separately. Cult status due to quality, limitation and location on Pritchard Hill, one of Napa's best cabernet terroirs.
