The 2024 IDDA Bianco Sicilia DOP brings the fresh, vibrant character of the Carricante grape to life with precise texture and balanced structure. Crafted by IDDA di Gaja from carefully tended Sicilian vineyards, it’s a crisp, approachable white perfect for unwinding solo or sharing with friends.

Tasting note
The wine is bright lemon yellow. On the nose, aromas of citrus, thyme and refreshing notes of mint and jasmine. Fresh and hearty on the palate with lively, firm acidity, plus a touch of white flowers, some flint, almonds and marzipan. Salty, long-lasting aftertaste.
Vinification
The vines grow at an altitude of 600 - 800 meters above sea level in the municipalities of Biancavilla and Belpasso at the foot of Mount Etna. After cold pressing the whole grapes and static clarification, the temperature-controlled fermentation takes place between 18 and 20°C both in 10 hectoliter oak barrels and in stainless steel tanks. Bottling takes place one year later in October.
