About the wine

The Untermoserhof is idyllically situated in the midst of the vineyards of the municipality of St. Magdalena near Bolzano. Georg and Margareth Ramoser passed on the management of the winery to their son Florian in 2024. Like his parents, Florian Weinbauer is passionate and convinced; the deep connection with the region shapes his work. The two South Tyrolean grape varieties Vernatsch and Lagrein form the backbone of production. The St. Magdalena Hill offers ideal conditions for these varieties. Florian also cultivates vineyards in Frangart (Eppan) and Kaltern, which are planted with Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The Ramosers have always created the basis for their varietal wines through their work in the vineyards. In the cellar, interventions are kept to a minimum; the use of wooden barrels shows understanding and care. The result is clearly defined, well-proportioned wines that always highlight the characteristics of the grape varieties.
