Tasting note
The grapes for this single-varietal Grüner Veltliner come from around 60-year-old vines from locations in the Gaisberg, aged in 500 liter oak barrels. On the nose, aromas of red apple, vineyard peach, some (pink) grapefruit and the typical, slightly spicy pepper note and a fine touch of honey. On the palate, with juicy fruit, round and full-bodied, with well-supporting freshness and once again fine spiciness in the long finale.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with freshwater fish, such as Müllerin style fried trout or perch filet in beer batter with tartar sauce or poached with white wine herb sauce, but also with white asparagus, Wiener schnitzel and poultry dishes.
