About the wine
What Markus Schneider has achieved in recent years is hard to believe. In 1994, he started from scratch, so to speak. And today, 22 years later, he and his team process over 92 hectares, fill around 800,000 bottles a year and is described by the German trade press as The Phenomenon and The Favourite of the Young Scene.

Tasting note
On the nose, aromas of ripe, red apples, pears and apricots, plus honeydew melon and ripe mango. On the palate, the Grauburgunder trocken has balanced animating acidity and a moderately heavy body. Ends medium long with good drinking flow and notes of pineapple and melon.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with fried fish, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, light meat dishes such as veal or poultry, creamy pasta variations and mild goat cheese. It is also a pleasure solo on the terrace.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the fully ripe grapes are kept cool for twelve hours. Gentle pressing and then cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks without the use of fining agents or external intervention.
