About the wine
With the dominant Shiraz — Gran Veran, you can offer your family and friends something very special. The winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodega Biniagual greets us with this wine, which he grows in the Balearic Islands countryside. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Manto Negro is excellent to serve with roasted vegetables or barbecues.

Tasting note
The Gran Véran is intense cherry red with a dark core and purple reflections. The scent of dark cherries, ripe berries, chocolate, southern spices and black olives just flows into the nose. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, dense with lively acidity. A long finish with soft tannins rounds off the overall work of art. The prototype of a modern and sensual island wine!

Perfect for festive occasions with hearty meat dishes.
Vinification
After harvesting, the grapes are placed in boxes with a capacity of 10 to 12 kg and sorted out by hand. Fermentation takes place at constantly controlled temperatures using special techniques, which largely protect the Manto Negro grape colored by oxidation. The wine is then aged for 22 months in new French barriques and then refined in the bottle for a further 10 months.
