Glimmerschiefer Blaufränkisch Ganze Traube 2019 - Kolfok

One of the best locations in Central Burgenland for the Blaufränkisch variety is the Bodigraben in the municipality of Neckenmarkt. In part of the Bodigraben lies the “Zinnersack” plot, where 40-year-old Blaufränkisch vines grow on mica slate 400 meters above sea level. Aged in an 800-liter barrel made from local oak from the Schneckenleitner mill. Carefully macerated in an open wooden vat and fermented spontaneously, unembellished and bottled with a small amount of sulfur. It's worth the wait here, but the dense bouquet and compact solid structure of this exceptional substance are promising.
