Fertile and blooming landscapes in Veneto give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Santa Sofia conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Tasting note
Dark ruby red with garnet shades. Broad, complex and elegant on the nose, almost volcanic, with aromas of cherries, maraschino cherries and dried figs, accompanied by intense notes of dark chocolate, white pepper and spicy notes. Powerful and rich on the palate, with lively tannins. The high alcohol content is harmoniously balanced by fine acidity and typical minerality, resulting in a long and lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty and seasoned meat dishes. Excellent with aged cheeses such as Castelmagno or Bitto at a ripe age.
Vinification
42 months in large Slavonian and French oak barrels, followed by at least 4 years in bottle.
