The “Gamla Sangiovese” refers to notes of raspberries, black cherry and dried violets with slight nuances of spices. The rounded tannin content and its fruitiness characterize the long finish. This attractive medium-bodied Sangiovese has a medium structure and a nice varietal character. The “Gamla Sangiovese” is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes grown in vineyards on the cool northern Golan Heights. The wine ages in small French oak barrels for 12 months. Although this soft and fruity-smelling red wine can be consumed immediately, it will still age elegantly for up to eight years. Enjoy the wine with spaghetti bolognese, grilled lamb ribs or with a cheese platter from your favorite places.
