About the wine
The Föllikberg is an alluvial cone of the Leitha Mountains. Our oldest Blaufränkisch vines grow on its heavy, calcareous clay soils and produce a full-bodied, spicy red wine.

Tasting note
Deep dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, delicate brightening. Delicate wood spice, black wild berry jam underlaid, mineral touch. Juicy, elegant, round and balanced, subtle tannins, freshly structured, redberry aftertaste, a lively food companion.
Culinary recommendation
An excellent accompaniment to dark meats, fried meats and game.
Vinification
Selective manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel at max. 30-32°C, 3x daily flooding during fermentation, 14-20 days maceration, malolactic in stainless steel, then aging in small oak barrels, filling in May
