About the wine
The second wine from Peter Sisseck's legendary Dominio de Pingus is called Flor de Pingus and is treated in the cellar like his older brother: fermented and aged in large wooden barrels and steel tanks, deliberately working with only a small amount of new wood. The vines for the Flor de Pingus are located in La Horra and cover around 35 hectares. The pure Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) is now cult itself and impresses with its velvety texture and fresh character at the same time.

Tasting note
The 2021 Flor de Pingus is extremely harmonious and elegant in the style of 2018: balanced, with elegant tannins that give it a wonderful silkiness. Focused and fresh with perfectly integrated wood.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fine beef (e.g. tenderloin, entrecote), lamb chops, braised game or aged Manchego. It is also an ideal accompaniment to mushroom dishes or a rich paella with meat and vegetables.
