About the wine
With the strong red wine 2015 — Flascher Pinot Noir Alte Reben, nuances and accents are redefined. To get a feel for the hilly and mountainous landscape aesthetics of the Bündner Herrschaft, there is no way around this red wine, which the Swiss winery Hansruedi Adank masters with a keen sense of texture. Flaschenpöstler tip: Pair this Pinot Noir with cheese or salmon.

Tasting note
Vinified, as the name suggests, with Pinot grapes from old vines. Aged in large wooden barrels (500 and 1500l) and in 3 and 4-year-old barriques, this fine wine is finely spicy, with aromas of red and black berry fruit, dark cherries and a delicate scent of violet, underlined with subtle shades of precious wood. Round and balanced on the palate with elegant body and potential.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty meat pies, pasta or risotto with mushrooms. Various meat dishes and wild fowl. Even with medium-ripe (hard) cheeses.
Vinification
Ein paar Worte zur Vinifikation: Ertrag 600g pro m2. Durchschnittliche Pflanzdichte: 8000 Rebstöcke pro Hektare. Maischestandzeit 5-10 Tagen bei 10 Grad. Anschliessende temperaturkontrollierte Gärung von 80% des Mostes im Stahltank und 20% in gerauchten Holzbottichen französischer Eiche à 600 Liter. 80% des Weins werden 12 Monate in gebrauchten Barriques ausgebaut, 20% in grossen Holzfässern. Produktion etwa 7000 Flaschen.
