Tasting note
On the nose, the springing burgundy fruit is clear and fresh. Intense, spicy on the palate with well-integrated roasted barrique aromas. A wonderful wine with an elegant, persistent finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with veal and pork dishes, poultry and Bündner specialities.
Vinification
“Grond” is the Romanesque word for “big.” Grond is not a single-vineyard wine, but a selection of grapes of the highest quality, the vines that are not yet 15 years old (Uris consists of the older ones). The aging therefore takes place even in used barriques with only 25% new wood content for 8 months.
