About the wine
The Finca la Medina preserves the essence of the emblematic José Pariente Cuvée Especial. After years of soil research and intensive zoning, this second plot wine from the winery was created. It represents an elegant and subtle interpretation of the Verdejo grape from a unique, old vineyard on sandy soil in the former Tierras de Medina.

Tasting note
The wine is pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, it shows subtle and elegant aromas with pronounced minerality and balsamic notes. On the palate, it impresses with its complexity, softness and silky texture, with mineral and salty nuances standing out.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish, poultry, vegetarian dishes.
Vinification
The grapes for José Pariente Finca la Medina come from a single vineyard planted in 1930 in Hornillos de Eresma. After manual harvesting in 18 kg boxes, the grapes are double selected and macerated at a low temperature for 12 hours. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in egg-shaped concrete tanks, followed by a ten-month aging on the fine yeast. Thanks to their shape, these tanks promote natural circulation, which promotes yeast stirring and allows longer aging without oxidation.
