About the wine
The name comes from one of the landlord's favorite horses, Armand Schuster de Ballwil. When he was looking for a suitable name for the wine, the Ross Favory rumbled vehemently at the stable door with its hooves. “That's when I knew how to name this Crémant.” The term Crémant was introduced throughout France when Champagne winegrowers successfully prevailed in banning the globally common name Méthode Champenoise to characterize bottle fermentation.

Tasting note
Crémant de Bordeaux is known for its fine blistering. It is a brilliant wine with persistent foam and a long, fruity finish.
Vinification
Use of classic bottle fermentation, which is similar to the production process of champagne and is an indication of high quality. This Crémant is produced on the estate and bottled in the historic town of Saint Emilion.
