Bodega Enate, a family property, is a superlative winery. The vineyards and the winery are impressive and Jesus Artajona is one of Spain's most respected “winemakers”. Enate's most structured wine is pure Cabernet Sauvignon. It ages “classic Bordeaux” in French oak barriques, but has a significantly different aroma: spices, tobacco, leather dominate, and its style is closer to the Mediterranean than to the Atlantic.
