For this specialty, selected grapes were harvested at sub-zero temperatures (-9° C), i.e. when they are frozen. The effort, time, energy used and the great risk do not play a role here. The only thing that counts is quality. The highly concentrated must was used to create an elegant ice wine with exotic fruit notes reminiscent of pineapple, passion fruit, lychee, papaya and figs. The nose shows an intense, complex bouquet of dried apricots, fully ripe gooseberries, honey and sweet spices. The natural residual sweetness is distinctive, the noticeable fruit acidity shapes the further course; sweetness and acidity accompany this ice wine in a perfect interplay into the very long finish. What more can you say about that?
