About the wine
Edetària is a young winery in the Terra Alta region, which borders the famous DO Priorat. The winery is shaped by Joan Liberia, an inspired and clever Catalan winemaker. His main focus is on working in the old vineyards and the feat of producing balanced, fresh wines in the dry-hot region. Joan is an advocate of autochthonous grape varieties, i.e. the traditional ones. Made from Garnacha and Cariñena grapes, Edetana Tinto is aged in medium-sized 300-liter oak barrels. Elegant, subtle Spaniard with fruit (plum notes) and fine tannins. Perfect meal companion
Tasting note
Purple color, shows a fine balsamic taste and rich spicy aromas, plus red currants, cherries and a beautiful mineral structure. Full-bodied to medium-bodied on the palate with excellent depth of flavor and beautifully integrated oak. The balanced, ripe tannins and acidity testify to a wine with a very long shelf life, structure and freshness.
