About the wine
Nero di Troia (or Uva di Troia) is an autochthonous red wine variety in southern Italy. Historically, it is claimed that the Greeks brought this grape variety from Troia, which appears quite plausible given the distance from Apulia.

Tasting note
Brilliant, opaque and purple color. A beguiling bouquet with aromas of dark fruits, licorice and some spice flatters the nose. The wine is very warm-toned with a fleshy, strong body. The ripe, dark fruit notes are also evident on the palate. The tannins are soft and round, and the wine is medium in length. A great wine!
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with hearty meat dishes such as game, lamb or beef. It is also an ideal accompaniment to mature hard cheese.
Vinification
After a maceration of approx. 20 days, the young wine is aged in steel tanks.
