Tasting note
Blauburgunder impresses with its ruby red color. Its bouquet is complex and is reminiscent of spicy, fine, fruity notes of ripe, red berries and cherries. On the palate, it has fine roasted aromas, a juicy, elegant structure, a balanced tannin, aristocratic fullness and a persistent aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with game feathers, red meat, mature, strong cheese
Vinification
The fresh and hand-selected Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in open fermentation containers. By gently pouring in the pomace cake, long-term contact with the grape skins is achieved, which allows an optimal yield of color and fruit notes. After temperature-controlled fermentation at 28°C, the wine is stored in French barriques. After bottling, the wine is stored in the Ritterhof cellars before being released for sale.
