About the wine
Venus la Universal was founded in 1999 by the gifted oenologist Sara Pérez and is now run by her husband Rene Barbier Jr. They work in harmony with nature; their cultivation and expansion follow biodynamic principles (currently not certified). Venus la Universal is one of numerous fascinating projects by the two winemakers whose fathers kissed the priory awake with Mas Martinet and Clos Mogador. Sara Pérez and René Barbier Jr. are now continuing the Spanish wine fairy tale of their legendary fathers with great success not only in Priorat, but also in Montsant.

Tasting note
Little fluffy clouds. Beautiful warm pink sheep cloud sky, everything very soft, creamy, bright red fruits, strawberries, apricots, just a whiff of undergrowth, Mediterranean herbs, thyme, like warm air, soft red glows. On the palate, very soft, creamy, warm harmony, bright red fruit, stone fruit, warm tones, a dream of an evening sky, very soft fresh bites, melting tannins, mild. Like great luck, so nice, warm and mild. Fantastic rosé.
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Joint processing of grapes, slow fermentation, aging for about 1 year in old oak barrels.
