About the wine
Venus la Universal was founded in 1999 by oenologist Sara Pérez and is now run together with René Barbier Jr. They work biodynamically (not yet certified) and continue the success story of their fathers from Mas Martinet and Clos Mogador in Priorat and Montsant.

Tasting note
A wine is like a celebration among friends: opulent, elegant, familiar. Plenty of dishes is served here, you can bravely access it. Ripe fruit, creamy and fresh. More and more is being applied, including spices such as clove and star anise. And later, there are also intimate and familiar moments, great harmony, the wine nestles on the palate, opulent, sweet and seductive, gentle with a pure soul. A nice and long-lasting pleasure.
Vinification
Garnacha blanca and macabeu are fermented in used French barriques. The aging takes place to a large extent in French oak barrels of various sizes and to a small extent in large concrete amphoras. The wine is only assembled at the end.
