Deidesheimer Kalkofen GC Riesling 2021 - Weingut Dr. Bürklin-Wolf

The Riesling Kalkofen comes from the warm “Grand Cru” location in Deidesheim on Mittelhaardt. Grown on soil that consists primarily of lime, clay, marly clay and limestone debris. A dense fan of fruit aromas opens in the nose, reminiscent of pineapple, lemon and carambola. Accompanied by a delicate, smoky chalk note. On the palate, it is initially charming, then it appears with a lot of pressure and an exciting acid nerve. A fine salty vein weaves through the citrus aromas. A large Riesling with a polished structure and a long-lasting, aromatic aftertaste. Tip: Decant before serving!
