About the wine
We have a special, provocative white wine from 2019 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. The wine-growing regions of the South African winery De Grendel extend across the landscapes where the experienced winemaker produces this white wine. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Sauvignon Blanc with fish or mussels.

Tasting note
On the nose, roasted aromas with hints of dried fruit. Herbal on the palate with peas and asparagus. A well-hidden acidity, with a full mid-palate. Round, rich and tasty with a long-lasting aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
The subtle creaminess makes the Koetshuis the perfect companion for veal tafelspitz with a creamy white wine chive sauce, squid salad, smoked trout or fried scallops.
Vinification
A special selection of high-quality vineyards in Lutzville and Darling, plus a small plot of Semillon from De Grendel wineries, where vineyard management is meticulously ensured. The grapes are harvested separately, depending on phenolic ripeness and flavor components. The vineyards consist of weathered slate soils. The Lutzville and Darling plots are picked by hand, squashed and cold macerated for 6 hours. The alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, while 18% of it and the semillon were fermented in a combination of new and used French oak barrels. The wine was aged on fine lees for 100 days and then assembled.
