About the wine
Since its founding in 1992, Bordeaux and Rhone-inspired wines have been pressed at the DeLille Cellars boutique winery in Woodinville. The work in the vineyards as well as in the wine cellar is the responsibility of Chris Upchurch, winemaker and founding member of DeLille. It cultivates some of the oldest and most well-known locations in the Washington State region, Ciel du Cheval, Harrison Hill and Grand Ciel.

Tasting note
Named after the famous D2 wine route, which runs from Bordeaux through the Médoc. This wine has a diverse aroma of dark berries, graphite, licorice and tobacco. Open palate, with fine tannins and a nice balance.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: D2 Columbia Valley passt hervorragend zu rotem Fleisch, Ribeye Steak und Pizza mit Pilzen.
Vinification
After harvesting, the selected grapes are cold macerated for 24 to 36 hours, followed by fermentation for two weeks. The wine is then aged for 18 months in 55% new French oak barrels.
