Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this dominant Chardonnay 2019 — Cuvée Alchémille Coteaux Bourguignons AC. This Chardonnay draws its strength and energy from the clayey, gravelly soils in Burgundy. The winemaker from the French winery Dame Jeanne transforms it into a real treat with great sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Chardonnay with poultry or goat cheese.

Tasting note
The grapes for this minimally sulfurized, unfiltered Chardonnay come from the “Grande Côte” location in Molesme, where the soils are characterized by red marl. The wine was aged in amphoras for around a year. The nose features aromas of mirabelles, crunchy apples, citrus zest and a hint of green papaya, plus notes of white flowers and mineral-spicy tones reminiscent of moist gravel. Fresh, fruity and juicy on the palate, again showing a delicate, finely spicy rock salt minerality and subtle tannin structure in the finale. THE WINE IS NOT FILTERED AND MAY THEREFORE HAVE NATURAL TURBIDITY AND A FINE YEAST DEPOSIT. THIS HAS NO EFFECT ON THE QUALITY!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with an aperitif, various starters, watercress soup with shrimp skewer, salmon trout tartare or rabbit terrine with Waldorf salad, but also great with fish dishes.
