About the wine
Courageously, with a location (14 ha, La Pinte à la Capitaine) and a grape variety (Savagnin), Roger Martin began in 1953 in Arbois, the center of viticulture in the Jura. And it continued so boldly under son Piere Martin, who expanded to 34 ha and switched to biodynamic viticulture in 2009. You smell it, you taste it. Beguiling wines have enough of everything, too much of nothing, and that certain something: finesse, aroma, structure, harmony, and: character. Every wine is a discovery, great soloists and food accompaniments. Extraordinary, outstanding natural wines, no beasts, untamed beauties!

Tasting note
Manuel Neuer — a support, calm, confident, powerful, straddles in fairly. He comes out right away, plays along, radiates such security, present, confident ripe fruit, yellow to orange tones, slightly yeasty, he cannot be disturbed, room for a smile, the floral and herbal notes, and then he is fully there, powerful, grabs the mineral, chalky notes, directly tart. On the palate again, this world-class, fresh concentration, sovereign peace in the fruit, then access, brews up, grips, that tart chalky minerality, it grabs the ball, holds on, brings peace back in immediately, sounds so beautiful on the warm, ripe, slightly yeasty fruit, the longer, the more confident, relaxed. Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Temperature-controlled fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts and aging in concrete barrels, bottle fermentation and aging on the yeast for 24 months. Low dosage.
