About the wine
At the entrance to the village of Rorschwihr, the Fernand Engel winery (Domaine) overlooks the hill and, with its modern style, is a contrast to the rest of the picturesque village. Within a generation, the 62-hectare estate has developed into one of the most important Alsatian wineries in organic farming. Around twenty people take care of the growing vine all year round; they know every plot and every vine.

Tasting note
Very present scent of fresh red fruits (strawberry, raspberry, cherry). Very nice nose, fresh and delicious. Notes of brioche and cookies. Smooth, fresh and rich start. Sweet acidity reminiscent of raspberries, a soft and elegant wine.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with an aperitif or dessert.
Vinification
Slow direct pressing, in whole grapes, rapid and partial settling. Simultaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Winemaking without sulfur at around 16-18° C. Aging on fine yeast for 4 months, bottling in winter, making mousse with its own natural sugar, which gives the wine a fine creamy mousse.
