About the wine
A very special selection. Only grapes from the best locations in Malans make it into this selection. After harvesting, the grapes are macerated for 8 to 10 days. After slight heating, fermentation takes place with home-grown yeast. It is aged in French barriques for 12 months. The earliest release of a wine marked with reserve is 18 months from November 1 of the production year.

Tasting note
On the nose, it develops a complex bouquet of blackcurrants, fine vanilla and a touch of spicy notes. On the palate, there is intense, rich fruit, harmoniously accompanied by an elegant woody note. The aftertaste is long-lasting and brings out the aromas even more intensely, which perfectly rounds off the taste experience.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meats, game dishes and traditional dishes such as capuns and pizokels.
Vinification
After careful harvesting, the grapes are cold macerated before being gently heated to the desired temperature. The aging takes place for 12 months in partly new and partly used barriques, which gives the wine its balanced structure and fine wood note.
