About the wine
The winemaker from the French winery Mas de Boislauzon grows this wine in the Côtes du Rhône countryside. Tasting note
This dark ruby red Côtes du Rhône with purple reflections delights with its rich aromas of licorice, black cherries, slightly jammy notes, a touch of pepper and lots of spice. On the palate, on the other hand, lots of cherry fruit, a slight fruit sweetness, fleshy with lots of substance and a pleasant acid structure. Velvety tannins and perfect harmony make this wine truly a 'little Châteauneuf-du-Pape'.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, lamb, game, meat dishes with a strong sauce, very suitable with spices such as thyme, marjoram, tarragon, rosemary, sage.
Vinification
The grapes for this Côtes du Rhône Village come from plots that are right next to the Châteauneuf appellation. The grapes are fermented in large wooden barrels at controlled temperatures for 25 days and then aged in cement tanks for 12 months.
