About the wine
The Domaine northeast of Chateauneuf du Pape was founded in 1995 and taken over by the house's daughter Sylvie Vacheron in 1995. The rapid climb began. The entire company was modernized, including the style of the wines. Since 2003, the excellent vineyards have been organically managed (certified in 2010) and since 2010, the conversion to biodynamic viticulture has been taking place. The wines show a beguiling pure and intoxicatingly juicy fruit, yet have great elegance and inner tension. Clos du Caillou is undoubtedly one of the greats on the southern Rhône, year after year!

Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red robe with a lively look. On the nose, an intense bouquet of red wild berries such as forest strawberries, cherries and crushed raspberries unfolds, complemented by floral accents and fine spices. Smooth and juicy on the palate, supported by a fresh aroma. Aromas of blueberries, wild blackberries and currants are harmoniously combined with hints of violet, peppermint and a touch of licorice. Fine-grained, elegant tannins accompany the aromatic mix up to a long, balanced finale.
Culinary recommendation
Vegetable soups, sausages, poultry, grilled fish and chocolates.
Vinification
14 months in wooden vats, fuder and old barriques.
