About the wine

Michel Lafarge, a sounding name and a big figure, Burgundy experts click their tongues, but barely available and known in Switzerland so far. A few years ago, son Frédéric Lafarge and his wife Chantal (née Vial) founded Domaine Lafarge-Vial in Beaujolais, excellent terroirs, very old vines. They remain true to themselves, biodynamic management (not yet certified), classic work in the cellar, everything here is done by hand, the steep slopes are managed with the help of horses and the wines make you sit up and take notice in the first two vintages, wonderful fresh, precise, mineral wines that express their terroir in an unadulterated way. Anyone who only tastes these wines will never understand where the dubious reputation of Beaujolais comes from.

Tasting note
Dürrenmatt — a great writer and critical spirit. The aura of beauty, the clear, red, also sweet, gentle fruit, cherry, berries, ripeness, this wonderful, somewhat withdrawn harmony, and critical reflection, the stony mineral notes, a scent of art. Confident on the palate, beautifully presented with lightness and precision, affinity, soft the red fruit, and yet with sharpness, punctuates the criticism of home, the delicate acidity, the mineral, dark spice, the word with weight, body, the criticism catches and reverberates for a long time, tart, mineral seasoning with sweet red-fruit whiff that he loves what he rubs against. The first vintage in this location, and the terroir has already been uniquely developed. When Beaujolais is burgundy!
