About the wine

The dominant red wine 2013 — Cor Romigberg Cabernet Sauvignon Alto Adige DOC is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Alois Lageder masters this red wine in the blooming and picturesque landscape of South Tyrol. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Cabernet Sauvignon with red meat or pizza with mushrooms.

Item no. 1195997
Tasting note
Intense ruby red with purple reflections. Complex on the nose, with concentrated notes of ripe, dark fruits, cassis, plums and cherry compote. This is accompanied by charming roasted notes and spicy components. Powerful and dynamic on the palate. With rich yet polished tannins. Again, ripe, dark berries, compote fruit, black chocolate and some tobacco. Long, delightful aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with a top-quality hearty T-bone steak.
Vinification
Only the very best grapes from the Rönigberg location (directly on Lake Kaltern) are used for Alois Lageder's top wine. After strict quality control, the grapes are lightly crushed and mashed. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks; the young wine is then aged for 19 months in French barriques (Alliers and Nevers, of which two thirds are renewed annually).
