About the wine

Fertile and blooming landscapes in Sicily give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Tasca d'Almerita conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Tasting note
Medium ruby red. Ripe red cherries on the nose, small red berries. A bit of musk. Fresh and mineral on the palate. A structured wine in Burgundian style. Good juiciness. The aromas of the nose are confirmed. Digestible finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with pork tenderloin or entrecote.
Vinification
The grapes for this wine come from the “Sciaranuova” vineyard. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and vinified at the nearby Tascante winery at the foot of Mount Etna. It is aged for twelve months in 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels. A small portion is aged in 300-liter French oak barrels. After the two batches have been blended, the young wine ages in the bottle for a further eight months before it is sold.
