About the wine
An elegant cuvée with aromas of dark fruits, spices and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with soft tannins and a long, harmonious aftertaste — a refined wine with finesse.

Tasting note
Deep dark in the glass with purple reflections at the edges. Swirled briefly in the glass, the wine shows a wide range of aromas. Starting with ripe dark berries, tobacco and pepper notes appear after a while. On the palate, the ripe and compact tannin structure is immediately impressive.

Vinification
Twice a year, thoroughbred winemaker Leo Hillinger spends a month in South Africa, where he vinifies “Constantia HILL” together with Alexander Waibel and winemaker Justin Van Wyk. This red wine cuvée was mashed in steel tanks before the wine was aged for 12 months in French barriques.
