About the wine

The blooming and fertile landscapes of Friuli give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Borgo del Tiglio - Manferrari conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Tasting note
Nicola Manferrari is considered one of Friuli's most talented winemakers and oenlogists. Right behind the Borgo, where he has set up a sparkling clean wine cellar in the old walls, the steep slopes of Collio begin, which are probably among the best things to find in the region. He is particularly famous for his whites. He produces red wines in homeopathic quantities, but they are among the finest in up-and-coming Friuli. Some of the vines are ancient and produce only small yields. The aging to maturity takes place in barriques, which are used several times and thus enable the desired slow oxidation, barely drowning out the delicate aromas of Merlot. The aroma is extremely precise, crystal clear with a warm, intense radiance.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with lamb, beef, veal, venison, pork, grilled meat.

Angaben über Vinifizierung: Nicola Manferrari gilt als einer der talentiertesten Winzer und Oenlogen des Friaul. Gleich hinter dem Borgo, wo er einen blitzsauberen Weinkeller eingerichtet hat, beginnen die steilen Lagen des Collio, die wohl zum Besten gehören was in der Region zu finden ist. Berühmtheit hat er insbesondere mit seinen Weissen erlangt. Rotweine produziert er in homöopathischen Mengen, sie zählen aber zum Feinsten des aufstrebenden Friaul. Der Mille-Uve ist die Cuvée aus jungen Reben, deren Trauben erst eine mittlere Konzentration erreichen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgezeichnet.
