Tasting note
Although pure from Meunier, this is a “rosé d'assemblage”, because 22% Meunier is added as red wine to the white pressed base wine. The grapes come from around 35-year-old vines from the 2022 vintage. The nose shows aromas of dark wild berries, cocktail cherries and some quince jelly, surrounded by fine spicy notes, floral scents and a touch of smoked almonds. Dense and ripe on the palate, with lots of vinosity, delicate tannin structure and juicy freshness.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with slightly stronger dishes, such as duck breast with blood orange sauce, monkfish saltimbocca, or Duroc pork fillet filled with prunes and almonds. A distinctive combination also with marinated strawberries with black pepper.
