Tasting note
Pure Pinot Noir, with grapes from the individual “Le Pertois” vineyard in the Grand Cru municipality of Verzenay. The base wine was aged in used 500 liter oak barrels. The bouquet features aromas of sour cherries, goji berries and cranberries, plus a touch of freshly baked apple tart, underpinned with typical mineral-herbal spice, subtle oyster peel touch and fine roasted notes. Engaging palate, deep, with juicy, crunchy fruit, delicate saline tones and lovely length.
Culinary recommendation
With its fine seasoning, it is also a great accompaniment to food. For example, with pasta or risotto with mushrooms, grilled bream with fennel, olives and salted citrons, or even with oven-baked corn soulards with piment d'espelette and herb potatoes.
