Tasting note
Similar to the Ley Noyers site, the 2.2 hectare Les Sureaux site also has limestone soil with a layer of clay. The estate dared to experiment here and only planted Merlot. The result is a rather elegant and fruity Merlot, which, thanks to the lime-rich soil, has a wonderful freshness and acidity on the palate that makes your mouth water. This paired with the lush tannins definitely makes you want a second glass.
Vinification
Palmistry. Spontaneous fermentation with our own yeasts. Ageing for 18 months in used oak barrels. No fining, no filtration.
