About the wine
Since the 1980s, the Capichera winery in Italy has been one of the leading Vermentino producers. The brothers were the first to vinify in wooden barrels and optimally exploit the potential of the grape. Today, Fabrizio and Mario Ragnedda are considered THE reference for Vermentino all over the world. In the 90s, they acquired further sites in Olbia and Palau, where Carignano and Syrah grow for the red wines. Today, the winery covers around 50 hectares, all of which are located in the best Sardinian locations.

Tasting note
The Vermentino Capichera Classico 2023 features citrus fruits, mango, floral notes and Mediterranean herbs on the nose. On the palate, it is dry, lively and harmonious, with full fruit and a long, salty-mineral finish.

Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in September. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks takes about four weeks. The wine then continues to age in stainless steel. It is cold stabilized before bottling.
