Tasting note
The vineyards for the grapes are located at 350 - 400 m above sea level, consisting of 47% Touriga National, 38% Touriga Franca and 15% Sousao, aged for 12 months at 60% in stainless steel tanks and 40% in new and used 500 liter French oak barrels. On the nose, there are aromas of blackberries, blueberries, juicy morels and a hint of cassis, underlined with herbaceous spicy notes and a delicate violet touch. Round, harmonious palate with nice juiciness and good length.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with stew dishes, hearty soups and is a versatile accompaniment to a wide variety of barbecues, from sausages to poultry to dark meats.
Vinification
Die Vinifikation fand wie folgt statt: Ausgebaut wurde der Wein für 12 Monate zu 67% in neuen und gebrauchten 500 Lt. Fässern aus französischer Eiche und zu 33% im Edelstahltank.
