The winemaker from the Italian winery Il Molino di Grace is absolutely proficient in his craft. Tasting note
The outstanding aromas of black pepper, spices and tobacco express a lot of finesse with a very individual structure. Afterwards, the playful nuances of red plum, strawberry and fig reveal their own character. Its noble ruby red crowns every festive occasion with style and elegance. You won't find this color in any color palette. With strikingly rich tannins, a strong body and outstanding acidity, this red wine presents its masterly texture.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team is recommended with beef, pasta and pizza. Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The recommended enjoyment phase of this wine is in the following period: 4-8 years after the harvest.
Vinification
The vinification took place as follows: The grapes for the Riserva (yield approx. 5000 kg/ha) come mostly from the heart of the 20-hectare vineyards with vines over 20 years old, the mature grapes are harvested by hand at the beginning of October, and strict control is once again carried out on the sorting table in the winery. During alcoholic fermentation in the large temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, the mash cake is regularly knocked down at approx. 28ºC for 14-18 days. After malolactic fermentation, 80% of the young wine is aged for 12-15 months in French barriques of the 1st & 2nd passage and 20% in traditional 1500 liter Slavic oak botte, the wood should add complexity to the wine and not dominate it. After bottling, the wine is stored in the bottle for another year before it goes on sale.
