Among the protagonists of Sangiovese, Paolo Panerai is one of the most prominent and at the same time one of the pioneers of environmentally friendly viticulture in Tuscany. The working methods on his Podere Castellare have met the criteria of organic farming for years. Panerai is one of the few to still use Cannaiolo in small quantities, out of respect for tradition and the conviction that it is these small details that underline the uniqueness of a wine. Hardly any other Chianti Classico radiates as much Tuscan warmth and spice as the wines from Castellare. The riserva is well concentrated with an intense aroma, reminiscent of dry wild berries, black cherries and fine smoke. Racy, well balanced on the palate.
