About the wine
With the snappy Sangiovese 2015 — Chianti Classico DOCG, you can offer your guests something very special. The fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Fattoria Rocca di Castagnoli conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Tasting note
100% Sangiovese, carefully composed of the various crus from Castagnoli. Each year, the fruits that each plot has produced are analysed to create a balanced, complex Chianti Classico that can be enjoyed immediately and is pleasant to drink. A typical Classico with redberry character and notes of citrus and cedarwood. Medium-bodied, elegant, dense and fresh with clean fruit and slightly firm tannins.

Unsere Empfehlung: Der Rotwein schmeckt am besten bei leicht gekühlten 16°-18°C. Der Wein sollte in diesem Zeitraum genossen werden: Jetzt bis 2020. Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Chianti Classico DOCG harmoniert hervorragend mit Pasta, Pizza und Lamm.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand in small boxes. The alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously with natural yeasts in 1-ton vats and steel tanks. Color and tannins are extracted by hand by pressing down, pumping and delastage. The malolactic fermentation takes place in oak wood. 2/3 are aged in 5-hectoliter tonneaux and 1/3 in Austrian and Slovenian 20-hectoliter oak barrels.
