About the wine
Castello Monsanto is located in the core region, Chianti Classico, which is one of the most beautiful regions in Italy. Sangiovese is mostly grown here. Laura Bianchi and her team take great care of the castle and the great wines.

Tasting note
On the nose, dark berries, cherries, violets, some graphite and spicy notes. Juicy, balanced and fresh on the palate. The elegant, rather slim style that Monsanto stands for is convincing: profound and yet completely unobtrusive.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with salumi, terrines, pasta with vegetables or sugo.
Vinification
Vinification for 18 to 20 days in a temperature-controlled, cone-shaped steel vat. Aging for 15 months in large timber.
