Tasting note
Ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose, fresh aromas of raspberries, red currants and blueberries combine with sweet sensations of goji berries and lively pomegranate aromas; floral notes complete the bouquet. The palate is lively, vertical and energetic. The exceptional freshness is accompanied by excellent minerality and fine, spicy tannins. The aftertaste is very long, persistent and characterized by notes reminiscent of dried fruit
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with braised meat dishes with a strong sauce. It also goes well with a variety of game. Or simply enjoy with some Parmesan, olive oil and low-salt bread.
Vinification
The San Sano Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is made from hand-picked Sangiovese grapes. After gentle fermentation in small stainless steel tanks, the wine aged for eleven months in 1200 liter French oak barrels. Bottled in June 2023, it matured for at least 24 months to develop its full range of aromas.
