Chenin Blanc Montane 2022 - Metzer

The vineyard in which the grapes for the “Montane” grow is, as its name suggests, at the foot of the Helderberg. Spontaneously fermented and extremely gently vinified, this Chenin Blanc clearly reflects its origin. On the nose and palate, the wine reveals an experience that can almost be described as “aristocratic”, as it primarily impresses with subtle apple fruit, notes of hay and a certain ginger spice. With a great texture, it also has an accentuated mineral side and the perfectly adjusted acidity makes it almost “vibrate” in the glass. A touch of citrus fruit accompanies the long finish.
