About the wine
The Domaine northeast of Chateauneuf du Pape was founded in 1995 and taken over by the house's daughter Sylvie Vacheron in 1995. The rapid climb began. The entire company was modernized, including the style of the wines. Since 2003, the excellent vineyards have been organically managed (certified in 2010) and since 2010, the conversion to biodynamic viticulture has been taking place. The wines show a beguiling pure and intoxicatingly juicy fruit, yet have great elegance and inner tension. Clos du Caillou is undoubtedly one of the greats on the southern Rhône, year after year!

Tasting note
Brilliant deep red robe with crimson reflections. On the nose, an intense yet elegant bouquet unfolds with complex notes of dark fruits, violets, roasted coffee and a touch of forest soil. Balanced on the palate, with a successful combination of freshness, density and smooth fullness. The complex aroma expresses ripe cherries, red currants, fine licorice, white pepper and a touch of mocha. The tannins appear silky and harmoniously integrated, the finale is long and promising — a wine with great aging potential and impressive depth.
