About the wine
The fertile and picturesque landscapes of Provence give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the French winery Colette Boisseaux conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With the provocative Grenache 2013 — Château Vannières Rouge Bandol AOC, nuances and accents are redefined. Tasting note
The vinification at this winery is very traditional, but is slightly different from the usual methods in Bandol. Eric Boisseaux is a fan of the traditional “foulage”, in which the berries are carefully squeezed and the skins remain in contact with the fermenting juice for a long time. This produces better and more extract. The French trade press (La Revue des vins de France, for example) regularly highlights the wines from Château Vannières as a top-class bandol. This is not least because of the low prices.

Vinification
Angaben über Vinifizierung: Die Vinifikation auf diesem Weingut ist sehr traditionell, unterscheidet sich jedoch leicht von den in Bandol üblichen Methoden. Eric Boisseaux ist Anhänger des traditionellen "Foulage", wobei die Beeren sorgfältig gequetscht werden und die Häute in langem Kontakt mit dem gärenden Saft bleiben. Davon entsteht besserer und mehr Extrakt. Die französische Fachpresse (La Revue des vins de France zB.) hebt die Weine von Château Vannières regelmässig hervor als Bandol der Extraklasse. Dies nicht zuletzt wegen der günstigen Preise.
