About the wine
David Ramey earned his spores in some world-famous businesses before founding his own winery in Healdsburg/Sonoma County in 1996. Château Pétrus and Dominus, for example, belong to his list of references. He combines the methods of the old world with innovation from the new world and thus creates wines that are characterized by incredible balance and longevity.

Tasting note
Medium straw yellow, aromas of apricot, citrus, honey, vanilla and caramel, underpinned by a cool minerality. The palate is silky, beautifully balanced and dynamic. Great finish with lots of persistence.

Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are gently pressed without destemming and then fermented using wild yeasts. The wine is then aged 20% in new French barrels (Taransaud and François Frères) on the lees for 20 months. During this time, biological acid degradation also takes place and yeast infusion (bâtonnage) is used regularly. After a short storage in stainless steel tanks, the wine is bottled without filtration.
